Audrey Goldsmith was born and raised in Northern California where she began riding at the age of 3. Since the family horses lived at home, Pony Club played an important role in learning to care for the horses. Audrey worked up to the “B” level in Pony Club but was also pursuing a successful career in Junior Hunters and Equitation. She placed in the top 10 in every West Coast Medal Finals and also competed successfully back East at Harrisburg and New York for the National Equitation Finals.

Audrey began her professional career right out of high school. She expanded her interests and education in the Jumper division with the great horse “Windex”. As a trainer and instructor she has produced many West Coast Champions at every level from Short/Long Stirrup to Open Jumpers. She also enjoys judging at the local level and has judged shows in California, Idaho, Utah, Montana, and Oregon. She has operated a successfull training business in California for 20 years before moving to the Central Oregon area.

Audrey has worked with many of the “elite” in the Hunter/Jumper, Dressage, and Eventing Worlds. Her extensive Dressage background is due largely to the influences and work with “International Greats” such as Lilo Fore, Stephan Peters, Anders Lingren, and Lynn Roberts. In the Eventing world, Audrey worked and schooled horses for Noel Parker-Ortiz, who was short listed for the Atlanta Olympic 3-Day Team. They traveled to Rolex Kentucky and Fair Hill 4-Star competitions where Noel competed. Audrey has also worked with the US 3-Day Team coach, Mark Phillips.

Taking the knowledge from these incredible professionals and adding in the education from such “Super Stars” from the Hunter/Jumper world such as Carleton Brooks, Sandy Farrell, Susie Huchinson, Ann Kursinski, and Richard Keller, Audrey has developed a well-rounded system of training and teaching from a very unique prospective. Her program is very methodical and detail oriented. Focus is on correct rider position and how this creates a light, well balanced horse. This combination produces a positive, confident ride for both horse and rider.

Since moving to the Sisters area, using her vast amount of experience, Audrey has expanded out into several other disciplines. In 2006 she competed in Horse Trials in Washington where she placed 2nd in one and 1st in the other. She also competed in a Derby which she won. The following year she competed with Special's Chromatic Legacy in Training Level Horse Trials in Washington and ended up Reserve Champion in the Year-End Awards for Region 6.

In a different direction she competed in several Mountain Trail Horse Competitions where she won Championships in several divisions as well as coached students to Championship wins at the 2008 National Championships. During 2007 and 2008 Audrey campaigned two mules in Jumping, Western, Reining, and Dressage winning World Championships at Bishop both years. This past year she competed in USDF shows with Special's Chromatic Legacy and Heart B Porter Creek to win National Honors with both. Audrey enjoys teaching and will continue to work with a few dedicated, hard working clients who are interested in a detailed, logical system where you will gain the confidence and skills to achieve your goals. For several riders she will travel to your place or work out of Sequel Farm, where she has a beautiful new facility with a large indoor arena and large outside riding areas as well as a practice Mt Trail course.
